Callanish House

Callanish House sleeps 8 people in 4 en-suite rooms.

In the shadow of the Arrochar Alps, directly opposite 'The Cobbler' mountain, Callanish House nestles intimately overlooking one of the most wonderful views you will ever see above Arrochar and Loch Long.

It comfortably welcomes you with a super-king front facing bedroom, one king size room, a twin bedroom and a fabulous four-poster king bedroom.

The large living room boasts an open log fire and is adjoined by a spacious conservatory with views overlooking Loch Long and the majestic array of mountains. The dining area is within the large fully fitted kitchen.

The house has full Sky TV package, free Wi-Fi and central heating.

Callanish House lends itself to a family get together, special occasion celebrations and outdoor adventure seekers. It is situated in Scotland's first National Park on the banks of Loch Long. It's also ideal for walkers keen to tackle the nearby mountains including Ben Arthur, Ben Narnain & Beinn Ime.

Just over a mile away lie the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. This truly is unrivalled for views and location.

Guests can take advantage of 15% discount on Cruise Loch Lomond cruises; Waterbus and Ferries as well as Cycle Hire from Tarbet Pier.

Callanish House is a great base from which to drive west to Inverary or catch the train to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig. The house is about 45 minutes from Glasgow Airport, and less than 15 minutes’ walk from Arrochar & Tarbet train station on the West Highland Railway Line.

This is also where the Vikings landed and then dragged their Longboats over 2 miles to Loch Lomond embarking on the "Battle of Ballyhennan" as they pillaged their way to Tarbet-Loch Lomond. The Graveyard is located beside the converted church restaurant next to Arrochar Train station and is really worth a wee trip.
